Hi I'm Nik Woolford.
I am a passionate gardener and adventurer based in Hāwea Flat. Raised between NZ and Australia, I love being outside.
I have worked extensively in the horticultural field. Primarily as a Gardener but also a plant adviser and grower in both retail and wholesale nurseries. I have also helped coordinate Community environmental events and School kitchen gardens. Currently I am focused on sharing my knowledge and skills as a Garden Coach and Designer.
Spending time in and restoring habitats, growing food, creating gardens and connecting with people in these spaces is important to me.
I enjoy weaving what I have learnt & practiced from lots of Gardening, Landcare and Outdoor Education and have completed courses in Permaculture Design, BHU Organics Lincoln, Nursery Management and Horticulture, Burnley Garden design elements, TASHM Plant immersion and Outdoor Education.
I am also currently a part of the Te Kākano whanau, the Hawea Valley Nursery crew and I also find time to guide visitors in the area with Eco Wānaka.
